Welcome to the World Wide Web homepage of the Federation of African Immunological Societies (FAIS)

The aim of FAIS is to co-ordinate the work of national and regional societies, to bring together scientists working on common problems and to foster collaboration and the exchange of ideas concerning immunology in the African region.

The Federation of African Immunological Societies FAIS was founded by the immunology societies in Cameroon, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zimbabwe in February, 1992 at its first meeting held in Harare, Zimbabwe.

FAIS was incorporated into the IUIS at the 8th IUIS meeting in Budapest in August 1992.
